The Suncoast F.O.O.L.S was created back in 2001 with the intentions of bringing brotherhood back into the fire service. Throughout the years the group has changed but the mission has always remained the same.
Todays time marks a unique period within the Suncoast F.O.O.L.S where the entire board has recently been handed to a group of younger firefighters looking to carry on the traditions. This Group has the intentions of bringing back Brotherhood, Training and Benevolent to the Suncoast area.

Sawyer Titus
Sawyer Titus started his career volunteering with Nokomis Fire Department. Shortly after, he was hired by Charlotte County Fire & EMS. Sawyer is currently a Lieutenant with Nokomis Fire and a FF/EMT with Charlotte County assigned to Station 1 on Charlie Tour.
Vice President
Bobby McCue
Bobby McCue started at Nokomis Fire Department in 2016, where he continues to volunteer in his free time. In November of 2017 he was hired by Orange County Fire Rescue. July of 2018 he was hired by Sarasota County Fire Department where he spent 4 years. July of 2022 he was hired by North Port Fire Rescue. Bobby McCue is currently assigned to Station 81 on C shift and a member of the Technical Rescue Team.

Richie Bailiff
Richie Bailiff started his career at Nokomis Fire Department in 2017 where he currently holds the rank of Lieutenant. Richie is also a fireman for Charlotte County Fire & EMS where he is currently assigned to Station 1 on Charlie Tour.
Trustee
Logan Savitsky
Originally from Connecticut, Logan moved to Palmetto in 2005. He started his career with Southern Manatee in 2018 and currently holds the rank of Firefighter/Paramedic.

Juan Leyva
Juan Leyva began his fire career in Nokomis Fire Department in 2007. He’s also worked for SMH and Manatee County EMS, eventually finding his forever home at the City of Venice Fire Department. Juan is currently stationed at Station 51 on B shift. Juan is proud to be a member of the Suncoast F.O.O.L.S. He is excited about bringing valuable training and continuing education to enhance the firefighting in our communities.

Matt Carlson
Matt Carlson is originally from Pittsburgh, PA. He started his career with Nokomis Fire Department in 2018. Shortly after, Matt was hired by the City of Venice where he has worked for over 5 years. Matt currently holds the title of FF/EMT at Station 51 on A Shift.
