About Us Brother & Sister Firefighters,
As you probably know, there is a local firefighter organization that you are eligible to join....the F.O.O.L.S., that's right the FOOLS.......the Fraternal Order Of Leatherheads Society.
Our "mission" is;
- to promote the brotherhood of the fire service
- to promote the traditions of the fire service
- to provide training
- to assist fellow firefighters (any firefighter) and their families in a time of need
- to remember those who have passed on
As the President of the Sun Coast FOOLS, I serve with an executive board that includes; Julius Halas (Longboat Key FD) - VP Billy Smith (Cedar Hammock FD) - Sec/Treas Kevin O'Neill (FDNY-ret) - Trustee Dave Quaderer (North Port FD) - Trustee
Our present efforts are to move the organization forward to meet our mission and to increase our membership of firefighters who give a damn about the job, which is the greatest job in the world, in our opinion.
Our annual "agenda" includes a couple meetings, two FF seminars and a "Bash" each April.
