 Sun Coast FOOLS President Leigh Hollins presents a SCF's sponsored award to FL Rep. Hugh Gibson on June 29. Rep. Gibson, a retired chief from Cherry Hill NJ, was the main sponsor of the "Aldridge / Benge Firefighter Safety Act", which will require all FL commercial and 3+ residential buildings with lightweight floor and/or roof trusses to be clearly marked so that arriving firefighters can quickly ID the hazard. This legislation, passed unanimously by the FL House & Senate and signed by Gov. Crist on June 17........... WILL SAVE FIREFIGHTERS LIVES. Thanks to all who helped. |
